Trying not to Tumbalong

Thursday pilates. We did progressive pilates tonight which is a sequence of moves starting with 20 beats of the 100s and adding on another exercise each round. It's one of my favourite sessions. Challenging but even moreso after Primal on Tues and Wazzas workout on Wednesday.

Friday yoga at work. What would normal be a fairly tough yoga class became a very tough class with fatigued legs and core from previous days training. Felt really good afterwards though.

Saturday 6am training session at Tumbalong Park where Phil had a circuit planned for us on the equipment there. I'm quite scared of heights and one of the obstacles was climbing the weird pyramid shaped cargo net to the top. I couldn't do it. I got to 1 level below the top and that's as far as I could go. Each time going up got a lot easier but still couldn't get to the top. Going down made me feel sick. I had to look down to check my footing each step and the fear would spike, my legs shake and it was hard to work out how to get down. My brain switched into freeze mode briefly and I'd have to give myself a mental slap to get moving again. I was terrified of falling.

The rest of the circuit involved:
Tricep dips
Over another Cargo net
Commando crawling under cargo net
Climbing up and over same net
Chin ups on the net x 3
Duck walk (like a walking lunge but keeping legs bent) through 3 tunnels
Rope climb up incline
Slide down the other side
Incline press ups 10
Flying fox
Running over 3 small hills
Running up 2 slides
Incline press-ups 5
Rope walk
Box jumps x 10 (I can't do these so did a kind of step/jump instead)
Balance beam
Incline Press-ups x 5
Run up steps and around pond
Burpees x 5

I did this 4 times

We the did some core work:
2 x planks holding for 1 min each
2 x 50 crunches
Side planks with leg raises (I struggle to do these so did a few then held the plank for the remaining time)
Superman x 10. I can't do a full push up yet so these are way beyond me. I did my best
Tiger curls x 5

Sometimes I dont get a high after a workout. Sometimes I feel sad, demoralised, fat, slow and unfit. This was one of those workouts. I also felt like a big burden on the team as they were finished way before me and were all able to climb to the top each time.

Right now I'm wondering why I signed up for this and if I'm going to just slow everyone down.

Where's my runners high :(
