"Anzac Day" 10k Fun Run

Ran my first 10k event for a long time today.  I had less than ideal lead up to the event averaging less than 6 hours sleep per night for the past two weeks and was pretty tired this morning.  If I hadn't offered to drive Lou there I would have stayed in bed instead!

The course was quite lovely, 2 laps of the Camden Centennial Equestrian Centre; on grass, flat except for one hill at about 2.5k/7.5k.

Forgot to turn on auto lap at 1k on the Garmin so no idea of my 1k splits.  Finished in about 71mins (forgot to stop the Garmin at the end as usual).   A fair way off my PB of 58:16 set at Lane Cove in 2006.  I can't believe that was 6 years ago!

At the finish felt quite demoralised as I was third last in the 10k till I realised that was because most people running at my pace finished at the 5k mark.
